The National Library of Australia holds the greatest collection of reference material relating to Australia and Australians. Research your family tree, find old maps, look up an article from a historic newspaper. Trove is the online version of the library, here you will find books, historic newspaper archives, maps, music and archives. It can all be accessed with your National Library card.
